What do I pay as a Flight Pass subscriber?
As a subscriber, you pay a fixed monthly rate and any associated fares, taxes or fees on the flights you select:
- Monthly fee. You commit to 12 monthly payments at the price applicable when you sign -up. This price will not change during the commitment period. The monthly payment entitles you to credits which can be redeemed for travel on eligible Alaska Airlines flights.
- Flight fare. Most eligible flights are included as part of your membership at a fare of only one cent ($0.01). These flights appear as Included when searching for travel. Occasionally a flight will require an additional premium access fare. In order to offer a great deal on the vast majority of flights and avoid the use of blackouts, Alaska requires this higher fare on some of our most popular flights.
- Taxes & fees. All flyers, regardless of how they bought their ticket, are required to pay some government taxes and airport fees. For all flights eligible with Flight Pass, these total to $15.11 each way. These include: US Flight Segment tax, US Transportation tax, Passenger Facility charge, and the September 11th Security fee. You will pay these fees upon credit redemption for each leg of your journey. Want to know how much each plan will cost you in total? View the pricing table in our Terms & Conditions.
What Flight Pass Plans are available to select?
There are two variations of the subscription. Both plans allow the subscriber to choose 6 or 12 trips per year. With Flight Pass, you may book your flight up to 2 weeks (14 days) before the flight departs, and as early as 90 days in advance.
You may choose to upgrade your plan after signing up on My Subscriptions page.
Do the credits expire?
Credits do expire. You must use your credits to book travel before you receive your next set of credits. You do not have to travel before your credit expires, only book travel before the expiration date. You may travel up to 90 days in the future. If you do not use your credit before you receive your next batch of credits, the previous credits are forfeited.
Can I cancel or transfer my Flight Pass subscription?
No. By signing up for Flight Pass, you agree to a 12-month membership commitment and monthly payments. Alaska commits to the fixed flat rate and to offering an excellent assortment of eligible flights. Subscriptions are specific to the passenger specified at sign-up and cannot be transferred to another person. All subscriptions are individual – at this time, Alaska does not offer a group or family Flight Pass plan.
How do credits work?
